What we do
Space-Enabled Search & RescueWhen someone is lost at sea, the odds are already against them. Most life rafts are invisible to radar, and when an EPIRB fails or isn't on board, the search starts blind. Our passive, electronics-free reflectors make people detectable from space with nothing to fail. We can, when conventional systems can't.
OCEAN Insights The ocean holds more information than most people realise. We transform satellite radar data into precise intelligence on sea surface conditions, environmental change, and maritime activity for the people and industries that depend on the ocean.

Ella leads Seascape's search and rescue programme, from reflector design and fabrication through to operational deployment. A named inventor on multiple registered patents for radar reflectors, her expertise spans CAD design, prototype fabrication, geospatial systems, and real-world search and rescue operations.

Mahima builds the software that finds vessels and surfaces maritime intelligence from satellite data. Before joining Seascape she was a spacecraft operations engineer who commanded New Zealand's first space missions, bringing a background in physics, avionics, and military and commercial mission operations.

Kyoung applies mathematical modelling and data-driven methods to extract physical insight from complex radar signals. He began his career as a maritime engineer before completing a PhD in applied mathematics, and brings a rigorous quantitative lens to some of the hardest problems in SAR data interpretation.
